Hendra House is a family home situated in the inner North suburbs of Brisbane. The design looks to balance the beauty of the site with the strong forms desired by the owners of the home. The home is organized in an L shaped plan which allows it to open to the favorable North East aspect and visually connect to the gorgeous Jacaranda tree at the front of the site.
The design is partly inspired by the verandahs of Queenslanders which benefit from a protected outdoor space so well suited to subtropical climate living. The overall result is a modernly appointed family home which doesn’t lose touch with it’s leafy and gentle surrounds.
